Lynda Lolette Sereno, 67, of Nashville, died on Sunday, March 29, 2015 in Greenwood. She was born on August 10, 1947 in Benton, Illinois to Leroy and Helen (Stowers) Sereno. She married Gerhard Weber on June 29, 1986 and he survives.

Lynda is also survived by three daughters; Laura (Joseph) Socha of Noblesville, Lana Capshaw and Lisa Capshaw, both of Indianapolis; a son, Larry "Lucky" (Carrie) Capshaw, Jr. of Tipton; two step sons, Dean (Kathy) Weber of Indianapolis and Dirk Weber of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Kieran, Connor, and Brenna McCormack, Melanie Capshaw, and...

Lynda Lolette Sereno, 67, of Nashville, died on Sunday, March 29, 2015 in Greenwood. She was born on August 10, 1947 in Benton, Illinois to Leroy and Helen (Stowers) Sereno. She married Gerhard Weber on June 29, 1986 and he survives.

Lynda is also survived by three daughters; Laura (Joseph) Socha of Noblesville, Lana Capshaw and Lisa Capshaw, both of Indianapolis; a son, Larry "Lucky" (Carrie) Capshaw, Jr. of Tipton; two step sons, Dean (Kathy) Weber of Indianapolis and Dirk Weber of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Kieran, Connor, and Brenna McCormack, Melanie Capshaw, and Dallas, Parker, and Cora Capshaw; five step grandchildren, Julia, Alexsander, and Andrew Weber, Charlotte and Jacob Socha; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and her brother, Mark Sereno, preceded her in death.

Throughout her life, Lynda worked for several government agencies in Indianapolis, and after moving to Nashville she continued to participate in local politics, where she worked for the Brown County Prosecutor, served as Chairperson of the Brown County Republican Party, and was President of the Brown County Board of Health. She was an active member of the Brown County Presbyterian Fellowship, the Brown County Historical Society, PEO International, and a lifelong member of Phi Beta Psi. Lynda also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren, as well her beloved dachshunds, Luigi and Angelina.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 4 p.m. at Brown County Presbyterian Fellowship, located at 602 State Road 135 North, Nashville, IN. The service will be followed by a celebration of life at Salt Creek Golf Retreat, 2359 State Road 46 East, Nashville, IN.

The family suggests that contributions in memory of Lynda may be made to any of the following: Brown County Historical Society, Brown County Humane Society, Brown County Lions Club, Brown County PEO, or Brown County Presbyterian Fellowship.
